Play Timer problem on Beovision 1 Link

    I need help... :)

I have a Beovision 1 Link in my bedroom and am having problems with the Play Timer. It is not connected by link in any way and never has been as I never got around to doing so. Until now I have used the Play Timer to turn it off every evening and on again in the morning instead of an alarm clock, but suddently it stopped working.

After having turned off the main power in the house for some maintenance the Play Timer does not work. I have tried setting the clock, deleting all timer programmings and reentering them, turning timer on/off etc without effect. I have allso tried choosing all different beolink setup options to "tell the tv it's not in a link system"... :/

Any ideas how I can get it to work again, what the problem might be or if I can "completely reset the tv"?!?

Re: Play Timer problem on Beovision 1 Link

If I correctly understand you problem, you

    • Had a fully working Beovision 1 Link without the Masterlink connected to anything
    • The timer had worked correctly for a long time
    • You switched off the mains power for a time and on switching on again everything worked correctly EXCEPT the timer
    • You subsequently re-entered the timings etc, but it still does not function as it previous did

Assuming you agree with my assessment of your problem statement, then it can only be one of two things wrong:-

    1. You have made a mistake in entering the timings in some way or have changed other variables which effect the timer
    2. The action of power down/up has caused a hardware failure or timer lockup.

So, to determine if item 1 is the cause as a first step, I suggest you list exactly what you put into the various timer settings and I will enter the same values you provide into a Beovision 1 link and see the results

    Regards Keith....
