Yes, the shift on the Beo4's list can act as the Shift on the Beolink1000

 It is used only in some occasions.

For exemple to do Shift + 1 (to setup a DVD1 with a AV Expander).

But when a key is available directly on the Beo4 or in the list like DVD, then you cannot do Shift + Sat to send the DVD code.
