    OPERATION ANGLES

With the Beocenter 9500.....i was wanting to mount it on a wall where it was not facing my bed in the bedroom. In fact the face of the BC9500 would be facing 90 degrees (perpendicular) from the bed....

Will it still work OK from there???

    Thanks.k

No. The CD drive is not designed for this, unlike the one in the 4500. About 30 degrees from vertical is about as far as I would go. What I would do is mount it normally and get a Beolink 7000 to put next to the bed as this will have all the information you want displayed with the advantage of masively increasing the programming potential of the 9500.

Never known a B&O remote which needs to be pointed. Due to the frequency used as long as you are in the same room I cannot see a problem. If you look at the front of your BC9500 you will see the I.R. reciever. It is a squarish part that sticks out.

If you use a Beo4 you can fire it in the opposite direction if you wish and it will still work!

The Beolink 1000 is not quite as efficient.

I've found the BeoLink 1000 to still be very good when it comes to directionality. I can use it from anywhere in my room pointing in any direction, and it always works.

It depends how big your room is Alex. When you get older you will realise that size IS important!Laughing
