Also which non B & O pannels will work with it?

and finaly, I know it's not as good as Beosystem 3, but is it any good?

    Thanks

Re: Beosystem 2 identification of HD ready version plus compatible non B & O Pannels

When i had my BS2 updated my understanding from B&O engineers was that any BS2 could be updated although the official line seems to be the early version mk1 cant be updated, the second version can be and the mk111 already has DVI out. That how you identify it, it just has a DVI  socket that bypasses the bs2.

As for non B&O panels, it will operate the commercial panasonic panels but you may have a problem with on/off switching and you cant control contrast, colour or other vision parameters.

is it any good???  well its dated technology now. If you need to run a plasma with a B&O system its the only real low cost integrated solution but it is effectively the avant chassis in a big black box!
