    Wanted (in Canada): Beocenter 9500 (or 9300 / 9000)

    Hi All!

I've been a huge fan of the late model Beocentre range (9000 / 9500 / 9300) since I was a teen, and I've always wanted to get my hands on one.  I understand the 9500 is perhaps the best of the three (correct me if I'm wrong), but I've never seen one available used here in Canada (Toronto), and have no idea what the price point would be for a good one.

I do think the 9500 would be my ideal choice, but please let me know if I'm off in that assesment.

If anyone would have any idea of how much this *should* cost me, and / or where I might be able to track one down, I'd be hugely thankful!

    Thanks guys!

    Sincerely,

    mike

Got several but do you know how much the weight is? Will cost you a bundle shipping it from Europe to Canada.

And the voltage (220VAC) could be a problem as well!Hmm

Thank you!  Naturally, I'd prefer to track down a 110v North American model somewhat locally, as the added cost and questionable quality of a voltage converter (especially in an audio system) would concern me.  Not to mention the added cost of the shipping, which also a concern as I have a very limited budget.  I don't even know what the value of the 9500 would be these days.  It might be more than what I'm anticipating.

Nevertheless, my interest is piqued!  Which models do you have, and what sort of price range would they be? :)

Thank you again for your reply!

Hey Mike, there's a US member Todd who maybe bought a BC9500 through Ebay. There were some questions from him as well on this thread. Maybe you could ask him what the price range is in that region. I don't think it's wise to buy any BC 9000/9300/9500 from the European continent because of several reasons like shippingcosts/customs/possible transportation damage and not to forget Voltage.

Good luck finding one. I like the 9500 the most just because of the mirror looks and PL connections.

Pardon the lateness of my reply as i'd been away!

I didn't even think of the 8000 or 8500!  The 8500 would be ideal, I think, as I don't need the extra features on the 9500/9300...
    hmm.. :)
