The BeoPlayer app is updated - $15.99 in US. 13,000 radio stations with graphics (hopefully BS5 will follow suit). Listening to some raggae in my BS8 and ignoring the icestorm outside.

I upgraded, but was disappointed that the upgrade did not provide a full resolution for the iPad. 

How do you get the graphics to work?

I just updated. I agree, I hope they add the graphics to the Beosound 5.

I suspect you have to purchase for each device, iPhone, iPad etc., no upgrade between them via iTunes, sadly...

+ MANY radiostations on earth and sky/heaven like Radio Bielefeld (local radio) or NASA Mission Control (look for genre Scanners) or Radio Vatican (look for Holy See)

+ Searching for radio stations by Genre, Country or entering a few letters

+ (Alarm) clock

- Price (Ouch!)

- Radio Bielefeld doesn't work (Trying connection in xyz seconds ...). I don't know the reason. Maybe too many listeners in the internet or wrong URL ....

- BeoPlayer doesn't work with iOS 3.1 (My iPod 1st gen has to cooperate with radio fx)

Suggestions:

Add to the Favorites some groups like Favorites 1, Favorites 2, ... ,Favorites 5. Thus I could make up my own groups of local and international, news and music radio stations.

I still haven't upgraded to the non-free version, because the player still lacks what all other internet radio apps offer: display of track/artist names of what's playing..Are we doomed to use only 3rd party devices like Linkplayer or BMLink at home to get this with B&O?

The free app update makes it possible to adjust the clock contrast by rotating your finger on the screen (clockwise or anti-clockwise), I like that.

And you can also choose the color of the clock display, when going to "settings/apps" in the Iphone menu.

fyi for anyone in the UK thinking of getting this to wake up to Chris Moyles and co the BBC Radio 1 stream only seems to be available in 48k.

Sorry but until B+O make an app for the iPad then i will not be purchasing the add on and pressing 2x is just wrong.

My Beosound 8 looks fantastic, my iPad looks fantastic, my iPad running the B+O app on 2x is really poor quality.

I think that's fair criticism

If I miss a radio station or if a radio station is available, but doesn't work, to whom should I tell my problem? ikatu, beocare, my dealer?

E.g. Radio Bielefeld and Deutschlandfunk are on display, but don't work (Radio Herford and Deutschlandradio Berlin and Deutschlandradio Wissen do their job)

After checking Deutschlandradio is available again, but Radio Bielefeld disappeared completely. (9/7/2011)

The BeoPlayer is not available at the iTunes store (German), but my version on my iPod touch (iOS 5) is still working fine ...

Any update coming?

My BeoPlayer App was updated automatically yesterday to V 1.2.2

This was through the German iTunes Store.

However it does not seem to be available anymore.

If I hadn't have read this thread I would not have known about the possibility to change the brightness of the clock. And to be honest I hadn't "found" any other stations than the 15 or so pre-selected in the favourites. Was the "browse" button available in the free version before?

It has disappeared from iTunes store in USA also. Some discussion about it in thread about Beoplayer and Airplay.

Some bad news for you: The 13.000 radio stations are only available, if you pay for an upgrade (about a dozen bucks if I remember correctly)

But let us wait for the missing update (I still own version 1.1.0, payed version)

Well it seems the update installed the full version by mistake, which may be the reason for it being pulled. I haven't counted but there are a lot of stations now available.

@iPoditiv - No Radio Bielefeld however.....but then again does Bielefeld actually exist?

Beoplayer is now back in the iTunes store.

And this latest version 1.2.3 seems to work now

 

The new Beoplayer can also access your own music, including playlists created in iTunes. Nice!

I had missed that. Very nice.
