Beovision 7802 SCART and modern products

Does anyone know if this older set has a SCART socket that is not compatible with modern products!  My parents have used their Beovision 7802 for many years.  They now have a Panasonic EZ47 DVD video and freeview unit (all in one) that will not work with the existing scart socket.  It sppears t ooverload the signal and looks as though the vertical hold (remember them!) needs adjusting.

    Any thoughts please?

You need to change the output settings of the Panasonic from RGB to Composite CVBS video. You may need to do this via another tv in order to display the set up menu.

You may also need to disconnect pin 8 in the connecting Scart cable, otherwise, there should be problem using the two sets.

Alternatively, you could use a cvbs only Scart cable, which has only nine connections instead of the normal 21.These are readily available.

    Regards,

    Nick
