    Tape Head demagnetising

    Hi , I recently acquired a Beosystem 3300 in mint condition and I have a question regarding the tape heads in BEOCORD 3300.

    The user manual recommends periodic cleaning of the tape heads, capstan, pinch roller.. but there is no mention of demagnetising heads.

    On my previous SONY decks , I used to demagnetise the tape heads after 50 hours use. Does the BEOCORD 3300 have a circuit-relay that does this automatically or this isn`t necessary for the Sendust head ?

    Hello,

    All Beocord cassette decks, exept the early 70's models, demagnetizes itself when turned off. It is a brilliant feature Smile
