    I miss my baby

After some months with a CD player having trouble reading some CDs and sometimes skipping to next CD after one track I finally took her down (not easy) and left her to the service guys. The diagnose was, not surprisingly, a default laser and the cure was a new CD mechanism. It will cost me 250 €, but after 11 years of duty in the front line it's OK.

Even if I now buy music via Itunes I still want her and I will continue to listening to CDs. I just love to sit in the dark listening to for example Oxygene by Jean Michel Jarre and watching the light from the spinning CD.

It will be an empty week.

Too late! The new CD mech is aready on its way from Denmark.

I hope (and believe) the service guys tested that simple solution first. And the behavior of it makes me think it was more than just some dust on the lense.

Nice installation Daniel, all those cables hidden from view.

Well done. Did you do it?

    Thank you!

Yes, I did it my self. When we got the house I opened the walls and placed MasterLink and power cables for the locations of my B&O. We got new wall papers or paint all over the house so it was no problem with covering the holes. I also prepared some places for future locations. The MasterLink spine is the attic from where cables go all over the house and also down in the basement.
