    Are there any parts available?

I have a Beogram 3400 that just needs some of the little tabs that hold the dustcover spring hinge assembly together. Thats all. Everything else about this table is good. I would like the dustcover to work though. I also havwe a Beogram 1800 that works and looks like it is missing a bottom plate. Are the only parts available those from parts donors?

Afraid so - B&O had a clear out a number of years ago and disposed of all the spare parts for this vintage of equipment. A few older dealers sometimes have odd bits and pieces, but these are obviously becoming increasingly scarce.

Dust covers and their related bits are extremely rare. Best bet is to find donor parts from non working equipment, such as those that (rarely) show up on ebay.

Precisely. Unfortunately in North America, these rarely show up. For example, I remember seeing only a handful of 1800s on ebay in the past few years, one of which I purchased.

You have an answer to your PM regarding the dustcover parts.

The Beogram 1800: Is that the old one with wooden cabinet and SP cartridge or the newer
one with plastic frame and MMC1-5 cartridge ?

1800 That is the slim plastic based 1800 with an MMC1 cartridge.

In that case the floating subchassis is directly visible at the bottom with all
    its cast plastic holders etc.
Perfectly normal if this is what yours look like.

Thanks again. What you describe is what I see. However, another thing that  makes me think something is missing is the feet.  On the left side facing the turntable there are two feet?, one front and one rear. They are hard plastic angular corner pieces which seem to be part of the chassis mold. But they are missing on the right side altogether so the table sits tilted a bit. And the other thing is that the platter rides too low in the chassis and the record scrapes around the edge unless I stuff something underneath which elevates it. Like a small towel or a sheet of bubble wrap. I should figure out how to post some pictures here.
