Hi all, Just a few quick questions i need clarification on. I have recently aquired a beogram 5500. I already own a beomaster7000 and beocd7000.

Am i correct in thinking that the 5500 is not compatible with the 7000 amp? and i will need to purchase a preamp?

Second the stylus is missing from the mmc4 cartridge. Is there a solution to this? is a cartridge without stylus worth keeping?

Yes, you  will need to purchase a pre-amp as neither the deck or the amp have one.

The defective cartridge can be sent to Axel for refurbishment. Contact him at info@schallplattennadeln.de 

The cartridge will be returned as good as new and is much less expensive than complete replacement by www.sound-smith.com
