problem with Penta MK1, suddenly no sound

I have a problem with one of my Penta MK1 (Type: 6601).

The problem I have is that they play the sound from my Beocenter 9500, but then a loud sound (like if some one disconnected the speakers) comes from the speakers and the green lamp at the botom turns orange, the display at the speaker still workes fine, it shows me what source the Beocenter is playing and what volume it is, but no sound and the lamp (LED) is orange and not green

and if unplug the power cable from the contact and turn it back in the sound comes back. I have to unplug and plug it in many times before it workes again, it's realy random.

I wonder if anyone knows what it could be. What does it mean when the led is orange and not grean?

Orange means that there is a fault.

I would suspect the power supply section and in particular capacitors which have aged.

    Regards Graham
