Any members near East Boldon, South Tyneside - Need a favour
Last night I purchased a Beogram on Ebay, the seller is more than happy to let me arrange a courier. Now my initial plan was to give him detail instructions in how to pack it, but I would rather someone who has packed one before do it. Then I could arrange a courier. Hence my question. If they are coming down this way in the next few weeks that would be even better, but tht's just wishful thinking.

just make sure if you tell him craig the transport screws must be firmly nipped up. i have a beogram 9500 i was that paranoid about taking it home from the dealer i used mega bubble wrap and it actually felt like it was indestructable. it will be safe also with express instructions to the courier to be gentle.
dont know how else i can help.

Is that the 4002 Craig? I didn't see that come up! Looks in good nick with what should be a simple fault. Nice deal! I think you might possibly have the AC motor version with fatter bearing too..
I hope you find a member whom lives in that part of the world!

Yes, I was going to send him a roll large roll of bubble wrap. Also tell him to remove the platter, as on a Beogram 4002 these can do a lot of damage if they start moving around. Also to put a suitable size piece of packaging under the arm. Ive managed to get a Beogram 6000 Quad to Russia in one piece. As I am arranging the courier I don't get any protection under Ebay rules. So I want to make sure it's done well.

It might be better than that. Had an email from the seller offering me a BM3400, but he wants too much. So fingers crossed this one has the CD4 decoder, not just the switch.

No, not me. Only ever had one pair of Redlines an they were in my garage at my old house. They had 13mm holes drilled in thye back of them and no ABR's. Only used them as my test speakers.

Wow, very nice and I suspect you might be correct! Got my fingers crossed...
Wish I had seen that, although I would be in the same boat as you right now (although a little closer!).

Step1:
Think it was on less than two hours before I hit the BIN. As soon as the seller said I could arrange a courier, I sent a best offer. Then about 10mins after that just paid the full BIN.

I am in Northumberland - slightly tricky to work out when I can get there as I am doing a lot of hours at the moment but I am sure I can manage sometime in the next 2 weeks.
