    ATAPE

    Hello everybody,

    I have an avant masterlinked to a BS9000 and everytime I push the beo4 "ATAPE" key, all the system turns on (BV+BS), but logically nothing happens because I've not any "audio tape" connected (in fact I have no idea of which audio input is really active in this case);

    so the question is: can I "turn off" this command in the system (to keep it off) in order to use this "unused" beo4 key for another purpose?

    Thanks in advance.

    A-TAPE will activate the Aux input on your BS9000, which is why it all turns on.

    Thanks!

    I presume that a B&O audio tape plugged there, can be fully controlled by using the ATAPE (or AMEM) beo4 key; but with any other audio device connected, the "A.AUX" beo4 command will do the same work.

    So I'm afraid this means there is no way to "switch off" this feature in the system Sad (via setup, menus...),  isn't it?

    The AUX port on the BS9000 is not equippet with Datalink, hence you will not be able to control a tape recorder. All (I know of) Beocords are remote controlled through a Beomaster via Datalink.

    I hope to win a new Beo4 with AMEM instead of ATAPE in this months prize draw

    I think it still sends the same code, it's only the writing on the button that changes!!
