Can a BV-7 aluminum frame be changed or removed for refinishing?

Can the aluminum frame around the BV-7 be changed or at least temporarily removed to have it re-anodized?

    Just curious...

It can be, but not very easily. I should have snapped a picture last time I had the back off one of these, but it's the kind of thing that a workshop would need to help accomplish so that it went back together. If you're going custom it might be worth it. If not, maybe just order the desired color.
