I need some advice regarding an overseas buyer bidding and winning an B&O item from me after i stated 'UK only auction' on my listing!

The guy is in France and is willing to collect but will not give any indication of when, i have not received any payment yet either, in fact, communication is pretty vague with no apologies etc.

I have other buyers in the UK willing to pay more & collect immediately. What do you think? Should i give him a chance, am i just being too conscientious or should i try and cancel the transaction?

Depends on whether you subscribe to the 'bird in the hand is worth two in the bush' theory!

I'd be inclined to sack him and sell locally, then as soon as you have got shut of it, cancel the transaction. It's not as if eBay or PayPal offer you any protection as a seller nowadays, so having a transaction outside of one of their auctions isn't going to affect you one way or the other.

That's what I'd do anyway.
