You need speakerlink cables as the BM5000 does not have Powerlink sockets.

    Hi,

Im not at all a pro on BM5000 (1983-86 i suspect that this is the one) but I dont think this have Speakerlink-connection (4-pin DIN).

If its the BM i think of I should try run the Pentas via Pre-AMP wich is 2x RCA-cables. I also think it should work to run it via "normal 2-pin DIN but i find that more problematic (I never got it working 100%). For Pre-AMP use you connect the RCA-cables to Line IN on the Pentas.

    Cheers

    Hello,

The 5000 does not have four pin speaker link or power link, the best way to connect them is via RCA.This is much better than speaker level anyway. Also the pre amp in the 5000 was better than the later 5500,6500,7000 which are more basic.

Be sure to set the pentas to max sensitivity when connecting via RCA, also note that either speaker level or RCA you will not get display from the pentas with the 5000, that came from the 5500 onwards.
