    Been offered a system

I've been offered Beomaster 1900, Beogram 1100 (with MMC 3000) and a pair of S60s. Appears to be working perfectly except for bass indicator light which is not that important. Don't know what to offer to be fair to both parties - any ideas? Nick

Is it a friend? The 1900 is very desirable though the duff light is a pain - these can be fixed but taking them apart is tricky (actually to be completely accurate, putting them back together is the problem! Big Smile )

The deck is a good simple one and the stylus could be retipped up to any level you wish. The speakers are also excellent - if they have the stands, they are worth more than £50 by themselves. I would give £100 for a fully working system such as this if in good condition, and would fancy that I had a bargain.

Actually it's a client so I have to be scrupulously fair which is why I asked the question. You are on the nail with what I thought and it's good to get an unbiased opinion. I'm really only after the speakers (damn - no stands!) to use them for the "Ambio" effect on my trusty Beolab 1700.

    Thanks for the advice
