    Beovision 8-40 or 7-40

    Hi guys,

I was wondering if you please could help me something regarding my decision of a new Beovision telly.

At the moment, I owe the Beovision 8-32, which I bought 3 year ago.

I thought of buying a new 40" telly.

I have 2 different offers from 2 dealers. I think good offers.
    Beovision 8-40 less 20% (list price € 4000)
    Beovision 7-40 (without DVD/blu-ray) incl. Speaker 7-1 less 30% (list price € 9000)

Of cause the 7-40 with spekker 7-1 is the much better television - the speaker blows everything away.
But is the 7-40 really the difference (more the € 5000) worth.

I was very satisfied with 8-32, so I`m not really sure of the investment.

    Netprice 8-40 € 3200
    Netprice 7-40 with speaker 7-1 € and table display € 6500

Because my "old" 8-32 was sold has 2 years guaranty left, I think it will be able to sell it round € 1200-1500,
    I will end up with € 2000 for the 8-40 and € 5300 for the 7-40.

Of cause my wife is asking if I´m crazy. Willing to spend so much money only after 3 years after we bought the 8-32.

Thank you very much for your answers in advance.

I've recently upgraded from a 28" Avant to a 7-40 - and the BV8 was never an option for me, the design just isn't special enough. If a TV's going to be around for a few years it needs to needs to look good - the BV8 looks nice, just not special.

Quality of the BV7 - aswell as built in option of Blueray swayed me.

It took me 5 years to get SWMBO to swing for a new 7 though - good luck swapping after 3 !!

    Hi Hotknife,

I have a BV 8-40 and I really love it because the design is something special and the picture is great. I'm using it in connection with two Beolab 3 and a Beolab 2 which can really annoy other people in the house not watching. So I'm not quite sure if it is worth spending so much extra for the BV 7. Another point is that I'm not very fond of integrated players.
