    I've been told that in september the Beovision 8-40 will get a 200/240Hz Panel.

    Does anyone know if they gonna use edge backlighting to just like the beovision 10-40

    No, I don't, but ...

    ... the 7-40s (Mk5 version) panel recently has been upgraded from 100/120 to 200/240 Hz
    without changing the backlight from CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) to LED ...
