I'm looking at a pair of s55's that the guy selling them says needs a new tweeter. Where could I get a compatible one? I see some on ebay - one for the s75, one for the s45, and one that is unlabled except for "beovox" - but I have no idea if they would work. I think a tweeter replacement would be an amount of surgery I'm capable of. I gotta know what to get. Also, are s55's worth it? Thanks!

Quite good speakers for their size.
The Beovox S55 came in two versions, one had a true dome midrange, the other had a conventional cone
midrange hidden behind a "dummy" dome.
Common problems are aging capacitors and foam rot to the woofer surrounds.
I can supply a good used original tweeter (Philips 2404 257 43002) and also a capacitor kit.
