    Remote Sony Blu-ray

    Hi there!

Just bought a Sony BDP-S570 to got with my Beovision 10. Everything works great except for the remote.

It's connected through HDMI to my Beovision and I also connected with the IR-cable that comes with the television and attached it right in front of the IR sensor. I think it's all set-up properly. I went through the menu, set up the Blu-ray under "DTV", in the list of devices I picked the one named "Sony BDP-XXX", I chose my appropiate PUC-port(PUC 1). Everything seems to be right but the Sony player does not respond when I do anything with the remote. Am I doing anything wrong?

    Re: Remote Sony Blu-ray

We have used a Sony with both our previous BV7-40 and our current BV7-55 and I have had some problems. Ours works fine if I turn the TV on using the DVD button on the Beo 4 or the Blu-Ray icon on our Beo 5. If I try to use the Blu-Ray by switching to another source, then every command requires two presses of the button on the remote. turning the entire system off and letting it set for a minute and then turning it back on with Blu-Ray as the source, all works fine. On our BV7-40 the red standby light would actually blink on and off a few times one minute after being turned off. If I tried to turn back on before the one minute blinks, the player still required two presses of every button. If I turned it back on after the the one minute blinks, all worked fine.

    Beovision 7-55 with Beolab 7-4, 9s and 4000s

    Beovision 10-40 with Beolab 1s and 6000s

    Beosound 1, 5, 2000, and 3000

    Beotime, Beotalk, Beocoms

I managed to solve it somehow. Now it works decent enough. It's not great but it works!
