Beosound 9000 MK3 mp3 capable?
As the title says, I'm sure it's been asked many times but am I right in thinking that BS9000 (2572) does in fact have the ability to play (decode) MP3 files (e.g. 192k) from a CDR etc, loaded on the system? I could test this of course but I just picked up a nice system but don't have any CDRs with MP3s on them to test right now. Just thought I'd ask before ripping one - when I get round to it?
Thanks
Jack

Not surprised but not to worry. I don't suppose you know if either the BS3200 or BS4 does?

Re: Beosound 9000 MK3 mp3 capable?
Hi,
I bought a new BS9000 last year (2572, MKIII) and I can play burned MP3-CD´s. No problem at all.

Mmh, I bought a white one last year, which can't play MP3 files. Do you really play MP3 files which are burned on the CD or do you play audio CDs which are burned from an MP3 source file?

Re: Beosound 9000 MK3 mp3 capable?
Hi,
I have burned a lot of MP3-files on CD-R´s and they play fine in my BS9000. I had a Mark I-BS9000 before and then this did not work. So there is a change on this matter between the Mark I and Mark III (from year 2009).

How are you burning them to the CD-R? As an audio CD, or copying the actual MP3 files?
