    Turntable Advice for a Beginner

    Hi everyone,

I've been following B&O for ten years but I could not own one yet. I'd like to buy an used B&O turntable and I read many reviews but since I'm a very beginner, I'm totally confused.

Can anyone advice me a good B&O Turntable and compatible speakers? I live in Turkey and there is no used B&O market here, so I need to buy onilne, most probably from ebay UK or Germany. Any advice for places to buy is also very welcome.

I appricate every single advice. Thanks in advance.

    Onur.

You have to decide what it is you want. Do you just want a record player, amplifier and speakers or do you want a CD player or a tape player as well. Do you want remote control? How much do you want to spend? I would suggest that it is worth getting a system that works simply because repairs in Turkey could be tricky. I would buy from a reseller rather than eBay as most of what is in there will need work.

I agree. Buy from a reseller if you can. With private sales (sometimes unavoidable for older equipment) often sellers don't know how to pack properly and leave the deck suspension and stylus floating free in the package. Why not contact Lee at Lifestyle for help:- if I'm not mistaken he uses eBay from time to time for this older equipment including turntables.
