    This is how I received a BC9000!

    Yesterday I received a BC9000 this way:

Fortunately nothing has broken. The chassis however was completely open. Bought this unit as seller said that one door didn't open and that the bottom touch glass panel was broken. I decided to dismantle the BC9000 for spare parts and also part of my curiosity how everything looks like within this unit.

So, if anybody is interested in parts just let me know (for a fair price). Have paid 150 euro's myself. All parts have been cleaned so PM me if you need something. PCB's have not been tested!

Lots of pictures of each part I took out can be seen on my Picassa link

Oh that's the first time I have seen the CD clamp widget/spring thing that holds the CD in place. Hasn't put me off having a go at recreating one - when I get a sample! The CD assembly is probably the most valuable part though!

If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.

@Leslie: I may have an interest in the aluminum panels. They look to be in excellent condition in the pics. Anything I may not have noticed? Shipping to the states could be ugly -but I am interested in the panels themselves, not the whole frame.

@Stonk: PIC17? Is that black multi-splined center bit the piece that goes kaput?

Jaff, yes on Pic 17. Having never seen one I assume it's the center piece of plastic surrounded by the spring.

OH! So what I thought was molded splining is actually a spring "wrapped" around the circumference?

I apologize... I also have never had one hands on! But, I am interested in the development of a solution for the sake of all the defunct units out there!

Shipping to the US is 24,10 Euro's (0-2kg) about 30$.

Panels are in excellent condition, no scratches (there we go againWhistle, hope Dave and JLDmelb are on holiday). A tiny tiny little little dent at the top left corner of the CD panel and the left part of the letter D (Dolby) slightly worn.

If you have eyes like a hawk check picture 31b!

PM me your offer, I'm sure we can make a deal

    Hi Leslie,

I'm interested in the Tuner PCB. Can it be shipped by mail?
