Hi my Beo 4 remote does not sustain its memory for my Beosound 9000 the batteries are not that old i have to reprogram every month or 2 is this from lack of use ? or what? as it sits that log between uses Thanks

Well, what do you mean that it loses it's memory?  The Beo4 is very rarely the culprit in cases like this one.  How old is your 9000, and what is it hooked up to?

I mean evey so often i have to reprogram the remote (bought remote seperately on ebay) cause when it sits it won't activate the 9000. Serial number beginning 13 indicates manufacture in 1998/9. its hooked to a onkio power amp

As I suspected, the Beo4 is not to blame here.  Older BeoSound 9000's were designed to check their PowerLink connections when they are powered up, and if there is no B&O speaker attached they go into Audio Option 0 automatically, assuming that a B&O television must be nearby, or that all speakers are on links.

This behavior is normal.  B&O offer a plug which you can plug into one of the PL sockets and fool the 900 into staying in Audio Option 1.   The part number is 6271061, but I don't have the current pricing at my fingertips right now.
