Hello fellow B&O Fans!
I wonder if someone can help me understand why the BeoVision 8-40 is not available in withe?
Both the 26 and 32-inch was available in white or black, so it seems a bit peculiar that the "top model" of the series only is offered in "any color you want, as long as it´s black".
Does anyone know if it will be released in white?
I am more than happy with my 32-inch, and would like to upgrade it, and it has to be white to "blend in"

Re: BeoVision 8-40 in white?
It must be frustrating if you can't get the 40" in white but as you probably know B&O have discontinued the BV8-32 http://www.beoworld.org/news_view.asp?id=219 As the news article suggests there could be more emphasis on the BV10 range. Hopefully the inconsistency in screen sizes, specification and prices across the TV range will be addressed in the near future.

Re: BeoVision 8-40 in white?
If I recall correct the BV 8 32 showed up in white as part of a limited run where all products were offered in white including BL5 and BS9000.

Re: BeoVision 8-40 in white?
The BV8-32 came in two shades of white, known as "white 1" and "white 2" (clever people, these Danes). The last version was more tolerant to finger prints and other marks, which haunted owners of the "white 1" series. White as an option for the BV8-series died with the 8-32, leaving the black only 8-40 as the only model in the range. The color options were then reserved for the BV10-series, leaving the 8-series as intended - the casual television, I guess.

David, JK and Roger, thank you for your answers!
Oh my, I guess I have "White 1" But I havent really had any problems with it. I mean, how often do you touch the chassi of the TV.
I Still think it´s a bit strange not to offer it in withe OR black, those would be the only possible options for the BV 8. The BV 10 has multiple choises and they somewhat play in diferent leagues.
