    Beocentre 9000 CD ... 14 or 16 bit?

    Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere ... but in the last week, I have seen two very different CD solutions in the BC9000 ... one using TDA1540 (14bit) and the other TDA1541 (16bit).

    Thoughts anyone?  I thought they were all 16 bit!

    Early ones were 14 bit, Neil.

    From Serial Number 05816917 the 14 bit CDM2 was changed to a 16 bit CDM4.

    aha ...

    ... i have one CDM2 linked to a 16bit DAC ... something is either mislabelled or I am horribly mistaken!
