Is there any more news on the DVD2? I heard today (in Australia) that the product had been set back a month. I wonder what has happened. Also waiting seriously for the technical specifications.

Is the DVD2 of any use in Australia with only analogue tuner?

Stupid question of me: what diasadvantage does the analogue tuner has (besides maybe picturequality) compaired with digital (like in a HDR2)?

The HDR2 doesn't have a digital tuner either - but it can use the one attached to the TV. The DVD2 can also actually use the one attached to the TV but not via timer record. Interestingly the model on which it is based does have a link to do this which is present on the DVD2  - I wonder if it has been disabled? At present I would say analogue is about the same as digital in SD form as the signal is stronger. However analogue will be turned off at some stage!
