Nooooooo!!!...Unable to access forums from iPhone.
I was traveling yesterday and was not able to access anything in the forums from my mobile device (iphone). I just assumed the forums were down for some reason untill I realized today that the forums are active but I'm still unable to access them from the iPhone.
Anyone else experiencing this issue or able to reproduce the problem? It seems to occur only through 3G service (AT&T US cell provider) and not through WiFi wireless internet. I've manually typed matching addresses into both a computer browser and mobile browser but only the mobile produces the following error:
Server Error in '/' Application.
The resource cannot be found.

Re: Nooooooo!!!...Unable to access forums from iPhone.
I had that problem yesterday on all my IT (iPhone and MacBook Pro) but I think it was a forum error that has now been fixed.
This post made me wonder if anyone had the same problem as me when it comes to posting on the forum using an iPhone? I find the interface is really clunky and I cannot type into the reply window that pops up. Anyone else had this problem/is a fix possible???

j0hn,
Go to: "Edit Your Profile"
Second tab: "Site Options"
Third entry: "Content Editor" ...switch to "Plain Text" ...<click> "Save" at the bottom.
That will do it, but I find myself constantly flipping between "Plain Text" and "Enhanced" depending on what device I am using.

Re: Nooooooo!!!...Unable to access forums from iPhone.
I can not even get onto beoworld.org ..... and i am not logged in .... i used it last week from the apple store and ipod touch at home ok so i know it was working ,,,,,
I also noted that the individual forum pages are not in google anymore .... When I used to google B&O there where tons of hits pointing to beoworld forum pages ..... That is a biggie in my opinion .....

Re: Nooooooo!!!...Unable to access forums from iPhone.
Dear Beoworld Members,
The problem you noted was caused by me, let me explain..
Two weeks ago I had moved the Beoworld web site to our new dedicated server, but to allow payments with credit cards for membership etc, I needed to install a new SSL security certificate which finally arrived on Friday. However, before I could install the new certificate I need to change the DNS from forwarding to the server to being on the server.
Because I was moving the www.beoworld.org domain, all sub-domains were also effected including the one to the forum. Everything was all done by about about 6am this morning except not all DNS servers around the world will have been updated. Generally speaking it takes about 24 hours for all DNS servers worldwide to be updated and it very much depends on each ISP.
Apologies for the problems, but our actions do allow Beoworld to provide a better service once all the changes have been made, more on this in the near future..

Re: Nooooooo!!!...Unable to access forums from iPhone.
Keith has been doing a huge amount of work behind the scenes and its is thanks to him that we all have this site working as it does. I know Lee has said we would be nowhere without Keith and I agree completely.

Re: Nooooooo!!!...Unable to access forums from iPhone.
I have also noticed the problem with posting from an iPad. An alternative to the setting changes mentioned here is within the forum posting window, at the end of the options such as typeset etc it says HTML. Click on that and a window appears that can be typed in.

Indeed !
You would think electrons would find it easy to flow down hill, but they didn't.
It took more like 48 hours before my down-under ISP caught up.
In future I shall refer to them as the "down-under and way-behind ISP" :D
First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*
