    Cleaning CDs

    Dear All:

What do you use to clean the cd trays of the various B&O cd players?  Are improvements noticeable?  What about the BV 7?

Static dust cleaner. If cleaning disc (cd or dvd) always clean in a straight wipe (top to bottom/ right to left) from one side to the other. People have a tendencie to clean thier discs like records, giving a greater chance of damage to the disc.

I though the preferred method was radially - i.e. from centre outward. The basic plan is to try to ensure any marks are radial (and therefore normal to the data track, giving less chance of diverting the laser tracking system). Any other method could potenially leave marks that are tangential to the track and could cause mis-tracking.

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.

What i mean is not to clean discs in circular motion as this is the worst meathod but yes you are right centre out.

    Dear All:

What about cleaning the players, e.g., BS 3200, 9000 and so on?

    Thanks,

Static dust cloth. Glass, very mild detergent on slightly damp cloth. No harsh detergents or solvent cleaners.

    Re: Cleaning CDs

    Hello
I have question regarding my Beosound 9000:
When playing CDs and tracks in random order, some time afterwards it paused (each time in another CD from the six). Can you advise me if there a malfunction in the beosound 9000? Or may be the optics of the CD mechanism has to be clean? If so, how can I clean it?Can I use cleaning CD?Or may be something else to be done? Please advise.
    Thanks Eli
