    Beomaster 5000 and RL60..2 problem

    Hello!

I'm new to this forum and B&O products in general, i recently bought beomaster 5000 and RL60 together on ebay for a cheap price. But when buying it, no cables/connections or manual came with it. Now i got all cable and connections for aux and turntable, but i can't get the beomaster to work, whenever i plug it in there's a tiny dot on the screen, and when i press "store" it starts blinking "P". I have been searching a lot on the internet on how to make it work, also a lot on this site, but i cant find any solutions. help! Thanks.

    Welcome to beoworld!

Sounds like you are dealing with tuner preset?

I guess I'm having a little troule understanding what the faults are with you're master. What remote are you using?

    Hi Jostein

You will first need to clarify what functions are working when you use the front control panel.  Try that as well as trying the remote.

Are you just attempting to use the radio?  Have you got a decent aerial?  Can you change the waveband?  Have you selected FM?  Press ADVANCE to tune in the next radio station.  You should try to find a station and then STORE it.

Can you switch to AUX or TP1 and work with another source?

Can you hear any noise at all at the speakers?  Are the speakers set up for speaker 1 or 2?  Does the volume number scale respond to volume up and volume down?  Have you tried the headphones socket?  Is the MUTE switched on?

Please give us some more clues about what you the beomaster 5000 can and cannot do.  Hope that helps.

    Regards

    Geoff
