Help with Beosystem 3 Set Up

    Hello

I need some help on setting up a Beosystem 3

The problem I am having is with the sound setup

The configuration is a Beosystem 3 connected to a Samsung TV

Centre Speakers is a pair of 4000’s Fronts 8000’s Rear 6000 and a Beolab 2 Subwoofer

The problem I have is I can’t configure the speakers

SPEAKER TYPE: When I go to Speaker Type I can hear the sound from each speaker and it will let me store

TV SPEAKER ROLES: When I go to TV Speaker Roles I can hear the sound from each speaker and it will let me select but I can’t store?

SPEAKER DISTANCE: Grayed Out I can’t access

CALIBRATE THE SOUND LEVEL: Grayed Out I can’t access

SOUND AJUSTMENT: I can see and access Volume, Bass, Treble, Subwoffer, Loudness But I can’t see Default Video or Default Audio

SOUND SYSTEM: I can access but can’t make any changes

I know all the speakers are working as I can hear the sound from them when I try to set the Speaker Type or Speaker Roles

So currently it does not matter what I try to select I am only getting sound out of the Center 4000 speakers and the Subwoofer

I can’t register any other speakers

Can anyone out there point me in the right direction?

    Thanks

    Barry

In my experience if you have the latest SW levels without the inbuilt APC Camera on the Mk3 screens only you will experience such problems - you need to go down a couple of software levels, we are experiencing similar problems presently.  If you don't have the latest SW then I am lost too.

Re: Help with Beosystem 3 Set Up

    Hi

Thanks for your comments sorry for late reply its Chinese New Year here in Taiwan so have had a few other things to do

But am now back to trying to sort out the B&O

How do I check what Software level I have on the Beosystem 3 ?

Where I live is miles away from a B&O Dealer is it possible for me to change the software version myself (If required) or dose the Beosystem 3 need to go back to the dealer

Sorry to ask what are probably common question but I am quite new to all of this

Any more information will be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    Barry

Re: Help with Beosystem 3 Set Up

Make sure you have Default speakers set to Video 5 and Audio 4 in the sound adjustment menu (Top One) IF IT IS A FULL PRO LOGIK SET UP. Then follow each stage of sound adjustment accordingly.

This is the first adjustment you make setting up sound so make sure default speakers are set for what you are using.

    Latest software version is 7.05.

You will need the dealer to do this for you.
