I hear it's supposed to be a phone.

There is scarcely anything in this world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little more cheaply. The person who buys on price alone is this man's lawful prey. - John Ruskin

AND it seems to be wireless!

The race for quality has no finish line- so technically, it's more like a death march.

I've had mine a while - it's only made a loud static sound mid conversation and then cut the other person off 3 times. I haven't had the heart to call the dealer yet. At least it's stopped randomly turning itself off and on whilst on its base!

"No dial tone" comes on whenever you pick it up. The speakerphone sounds nice... to me... but... the person at the other end can't hear a thing, as the sound breaks up. It usually tells you who is calling, but occasionally says "Incoming call" (not all that illuminating), then rubs salt in the wound by storing the correct name in the calls list.  But software v1.6 will solve it!!!  Honest.  But not before May.

    Throw it at your BV10!

Fix the clouding and if you are lucky... maybe the phone will start working!

Will the last person leaving Struer... please turn out the lights?

    Re: beocom 5

Believe me when  I say that we've all had a laugh...but most of the issues are being fixed in software, and the 'final' update is supposedly in the field in DK as  I type this, and will be wide-spread by the end of the week.  As someone who survived the roll-out of both the BeoCom 6000 and BeoCom 1/US, let me just say that this might just be the quickest, easiest fix I've seen from Telecom.  One can only hope.  As for the 'cloudy' keypads...well that's another kettle of fish entirely.

    We kid because we love.
