    Beomaster 2400

The Balance knob (slider thingy) isn't working, can't get the sound to come out of both speakers. Should I crack open the machine to see if I can fix myself, or is that not a good idea?

Any ideas, tips, am I in the right spot?

    Ok thanks for your time.

Depends how technical you are! The 2400 is not the simplest device to disassemble, or more accurately, re-assemble!! I would guess that one side of the power amp needs attention - capacitors a common culprit but clearly all sorts of issues - clearly needs servicing.

Thanks for the timely response. I have someone with me who's great at fixing things so we might give it a try.

I don't really have the means to send it to Denmark you know :)

I agree with Peter though it could easily be a defect in the balance slider.
The sliders are no longer available but usually repairable.
