A few years ago I inherited an Avant, which together with an Ouverture with Beolab 2000 speakers, was controlled by a Beo4. All worked very well.

I have now replaced the Avant, and separated the system. The old Avant is now in our other house, and works just fine with the Beo4. But I can no longer control the Ouverture and its speakerswith the Beo4.

Is this a setup problem (I never did have the manuals)?

Your Ouverture is set to option 0 when it should be option1.

Press STDBY and LIST together

then LIST until display reads OPTIONS, press go.

then LIST until display reads AOPT, press 1

Now check operation of Beo4

Thank you, that has done the trick. Your prompt and informative reply has saved the day, and I can now use my Ouverture with the Beo4. It only remains for me to replicate the remote with a £6.99 Lidl Universal that I have purchased this afternoon and tried out with the basic commands.
