After much deliberation it looks like I'm replacing my BV3-32 for a BV7-32. Try as I might the space we have for a TV doesn't really fit a Bv7-40 or my preferred choice the new BV10-40 and SWMBO does not like the deign of the BV8, so a BV7-32 it has to be.
What I now need is some advice on from you learned people on the BV7-32....
I pretty much accept from what I've been reading that the picture quality will not be up to the same standard as the BV3 - hopefully this won't be so bad that I can't live with it. From what I've seen of the BV7 when in B&O shops then I think I can live with it.
That said the one I've seen most recently was the new mk4 version with the HDMI sockets, which I suspect has had screen improvements over the mk1. Is anyone here had / seen both and can give an opinion on the differences. Does anyone know if the DVD player on the mk4 upscales to 720p?
The decision I'm trying to make is do I save some cash and go for a 2nd life mk1 and then in a couple of years I can always just upgrade the screen to the latest model around then, or is the current mk4 model a worthy box so why not splash out now and not worry about TV's for another 5 years or so!
My watching habits will be our collection of DVD's, SKY+ which I shall probably update to HD and an AppleTV. All of which are connectable on a mk1 (HD upgraded of course) or a Mk4.
Thanks in advance for all opinions.
Chris.
