    Beosound Century; no aux port?

    Hi

my father has his Beosound Century since 1995. Now that he has discovered the world of iTunes and iPod he would like to connect his iPod to his Beosound. From what I've read in the manual and on the internet, there should be an aux port on the back of the Beosound. Strangely enough we can't find it anywhere? There is an AUX button on the front but there seems to be no port. In our local B&O shop they were baffled, that's why I'm asking here, did B&O ever offer a model of the Beosound Century without an AUX port?

Perhaps it has a dummy plug over it? Can't think of why, but...

    Hi chrisn,

Yes, it should be there - just check that there's nothing already plugged in that might be hiding the label?

For reference, the Aux port on the Century is an input socket only, so it is fine for playback, but not for recording from the Beosound to another device.

    Kind regards,

    Steve.

Re: Beosound Century; no aux port?

I may be misjudging Chrisn, so if I am please forgive me, but does this type of thread annoy others as much as it does me?

After 2 days of helpful advice from members, no acknowledgement whatsoever from him.

In his first post & a question to which I suspect he has now solved himself, but no expressions of appreciation.

I subscribe to a few forums and where I think I can offer some advice based upon experience I do so. Often I ask the person posing the question to come back and let me know if the advice has helped and it's disappointing the number who never do so but just grab what they can and run.

There, I feel better for that!

Kokomo, I understand your frustration, but look at his post count versus ours! The forum culture doesn't often come naturally. If he had posted 300 times, I'd say he's a knob, but one post I'll forgive.
