Dear Sir
My late Father has left me various Bang & Olufsen equipment and I would appreciate your help in valuing and finding a good home for them. I would love to keep them however space is of a premium.
I fully understand it’s hard to value and find homes for the items you have not seen, so I have taken a few pictures if anyone is interested.
These are the B&O items I have to part with, A Beomaster 611 De Lux cabinet it is equipped with an all-transistorized Master 610 K stereo radio, Garrard Type AT6 Laboratory Series Mark II record deck and a Beocord 2000 Tape Recorder.
I also have a Beolit 700 radio in red and a B&O Ribbon microphone BM 5 (boxed).
They all have serial numbers with original manuals and electrical diagrams along with other B&O sales broachers. All the above items were bought on the 13th November 1964 minus the Beolit 700 radio which is slightly newer; you may have guessed I have the guarantees for them.
As you can appreciate these are 45 years old and would need a good service, however when I switch on the radio it filled the room with a beautiful rich sound that you would expect from Bang and Olufsen.
Record deck works functionally but no sound to the speakers, maybe pre-amp? As for the tape deck the reels go round “I haven’t got a clue how it works”.
I just want someone to enjoy this fantastic equipment and get the same pleasure as my Father did.
Look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours sincerely
Ian
