Which set top box / computer used with BV7

What inputs are you using with your BV7. Interested more in anyone with 2+ sources.

Have SKY HD but considering PS3/Mac/AppleTV/PC with Media Center/XBox360.

Other than some US series I enjoy on Sky1 in HD, am pretty unimpressed with Sky HD.

I understand its likely people pick a PS3 for Blue-Ray and a PS3/Xbox for Gaming.

    But gaming aside.

    Have BV7 with Blue-ray today.

Considering other sources for music, BBC iPlayer, internet radio, other film sources via Internet connection.

Can see benefits of various options above:

    - Apples are good for iTunes/Downloadable films etc

    - PS3 for BBC iPlayer, other TV options, media playing ability

    - PC can load a plugin to Media Center for internet TV, BBC iPlayer, ... stream music, radio etc

What else are you using ?

There are so many ways to cut/describe this given the flexibility of BeoVision interfaces, MasterLink integration, and the flexibility of devices like PCs/PS3s.

I would categories my sources as follows:

live TV - DTV arial (includes 4 radio stations), analogue ariel (includes community TV), and Foxtel (like Sky)

stored TV - my Apple EyeTV and a VCR (still have a small library of movies)

live music - radio (via Foxtel, via BeoSound 4, via Apple EyeTV FM, via DTV, via Net.Radio under Apple iTunes)

stored music - my Apple, and my BeoSound 4 via MasterLink

stored movies - my Apple, our LAN network, PS3, and a separate DVD player

    gaming - PS3, PS2, Wii

    live internet - my Apple

I am currently experimenting with PLEX as a means of providing a media centre interface to a lot of this

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

    For the moment...

Panasonic - DMRBW500 - Hi def Digital TV, DTV recording, blueray, digital camera photos and digital home movies... Can handle music, photos and recording to blue ray as well.  All in one unit.

Apple TV - Consolidated, Music and a small video library, internet radio with its new update, it links with iPod touch and iPhones for remote control and syncing which is nice. I use it in component rather than HD mode.. I'm stuck with iTunes/Apple TV due to a large library and daunting task to migrate from it.

Foxtel IQ - Subscription, movies, sport, same at SKY +

    Wii - Gaming

V8000, yes we still use video tapes.

All linked controllable and usable in other rooms....Trying a lintronic box and geffin splitter next...

Also use a few turntables, a sperate iPod and the BS9000 CD's

Let us know how you go with that splitter - where you got it - and at what cost - and was it worth it in the end ?

Geffen and Oneremote are the vendors I have looked at. Both products I am after have been discontinued. I need the one that has 4x HDMI in and 1xDVI + coaxial audit out to connect to the BV7 or something similar.

    http://shop.oneremote.dk/content/8281u2%20%20UK.pdf

Both companies have the product suitable for your new BV8...

I'll keep you updated when its sorted...
