    Integrating Crestron Control to BeoSystem3

    Hi,

I have a Beosystem 3 that i wish to control with a Crestron Processor (CP2E). In particular I wish to control my Beosound 9000. Crestron do a interface for RS232/masterlink but I was hoping to control it using the IR input on the back of the System 3.

I understand the IR frequencies may be different so I need some assistance in learning the B&O codes to the crestron system and then if the IR input jack will do anything with these codes.

Has anyone got any experience with doing this?

    Regards

    Simon

I think with all the effort it would take, the ML Gateway would make more sense. B&O have already written the profiles and created the GUI for Crestron controllers. To do it yourself wouldn't exactly get the most out of what sounds like an already sizable investment. I'd say don't reinvent the wheel.

TripEnglish is right, the most elegant solution is the gateway especially if you are using the wonderful Crestron products.

For small systems we have used Control4 to operate B&O products via ir on occasion and it works well even letting us operate the BeoSytem3 via the iPhone. We find this is much more cost effective and time efficient for a one room set up, but for reliable, elegant multiroom the gateway is, IMHO, is the only way

Most of the HEX ir codes are readily available on remote central.

Have a look there if you are still missing some send me a PM.
