Hi

hoping for some help. My beocenter turntable is playing up. The basic problem is that when a record is placed on it and PH is selected noting happens. It will turn when turn is depressed so the motor and belt are fine. There is a bit of clunking on the cogs if I manually turn the player then sometimes it works reaches the end of the record and returns with a clunk.

My amateur diagnosis would be the cogs underneath have become misaligned??? or out of sync??

Any help would be much appreciated.
