Hi, have a confusing situation below, very keen to get some advice.
[1] Original state:
Recently swapped out Avant connected to BS9000 (same room) via Masterlink and Link TV in another room (BV1 LS).
Avant had DVD1.
In main room can choose CD and plays through Avant speakers (4 of them). In link room can watch Sky on Avant and CDs and DVDs.
[2] Temporary situation:
Now connected to BV7-40. Did connect everything temporarily.
Had Link TV working fine, with Sky and CDs. In main room unable to get BS9000 working.
[3] Current situation.
Now wall mounted the BV7-40 and recabled back up. With same cables.
Moved from SKY+ to SKY HD.
TV in main room works great. Can't select CD in main room and get BS9000 working.
In Link room I CAN play the CD on BS9000, and CAN play Blue-Ray discs on the Link TV fine (through the BV1 LS).
However I can't get Sky working ... can hear the sound but not the picture. But I can see Blue-Ray and regular DVDs on it fine.
I have both HDMI and SCART cables connected to SKY HD box as I know the Link connection needs the SCART.
In main room have only stereo sound from SKY HD, but from Web queries I realise I need to cable the SKY HD optical out to get Dolby Digital on BV7-40.
Pity the new HDMI cables didn't take care of that.
I presume this is a cabling / device setup issue beyond my knowledge.
Outstanding challenges to summarise:
(a.) can't select CD in main room and get BS9000 working (even though works in link room) - surely cabled ok
(b.) can't get picture on Link TV for SKY HD box (even though DVD & blue-rays work)
