    Stands for S45.2s

I am just finishing refurbishing a pair of S45.2s in Rosewood.  Cabinet work is done and they look terrific, and I have a capacitor kit from Martin and a new soldering iron!  All I really need now to complete the job is a pair of stands - type 6013.

Anyone have a pair they would like to sell, if necessary attached to a pair of speakers?

I'm in Exeter in Devon but would be willing to travel to pick them up if not too far.

I don't think I have any. Note that these stands are of a unique height.
The stands from the later S-series look similar but none of them are of the correct height.

    Thanks Martin,

I think Peter had made a similar point on another thread.  Although the locating holes on the back allow a number of different stands to fit, they all are a little too tall and it seems unbalanced, at least visually.

This must be the only B&O item you don't have!!!

Lifestyle-av sold a pair a couple of months ago, they only fetched about £10, partly  because I forgot to bid!

They do not come up very often, especially sold separately. Your best bet would be to keep an eye out on eBay for a pair with stands and resell the resulting  spare pair as the  stands never seem to add much to the finishing price of the auction.

    Simon,

I haven't seen them at all!  Don't know how I missed the Lifestyle AV ones - I normally keep an eye on what Lee has to offer.

Does this mean that the next time a pair come up for auction we may be competing?  Bit worried, as I actually have two pairs needing stands.  We could change the market value of these at a stroke!

I won't be bidding this time!

I have two pairs of S45-2's, the first pair have stands and are in daily use downstairs. The other pair were in my study upstairs and I was looking for a pair osf stands,  but I have now replaced them with a  refoamed  pair of CX100's for space reasons. They  don't sound as good but can be placed either side of the PC monitor which frees up space in the rest of the room, so the other pair are now in storage.

    Simon,

Spooky - my second pair have been usurped (temporarily) by CX100s for space reasons as well.  (Space reasons is code for partner not wanting speakers in the 'middle of the room where I can trip over them' - huge inaccuracy of course, but domestic harmony must be pursued)

This does make me marvel at the description of the S45-2s as 'compact' bookshelf speakers. Anyone with full-sized bookshelf speakers must have a very large bookshelf indeed!
