Trouble with linkroomaudio caused by delay on mainroom powerlink

    Hi all

This has been discussed earlier by Moxxey and I.

To get the picture and audio on your mainroom tv synched, you can adjust the audiodelay in the usermenu so the digital processed picture matches the sound. HOWEVER...The delay is ONLY through powerlink (and coaxial) and NOT masterlink. Therefore, if you have your mainroom close to your linkrooms there will be a quite large sound delay when watching anything else than DVB-HD og BD source hooked up to HDMI. BD and DVB-HD is coaxial distributed to your linkrooms so that is not a problem. However, if you hook up a appletv (HDMI and analog sound) or PS3 as mediacenter, this cant be used in linkrooms close to the mainroom simultaneously. How many of you find this absolutely ridiculous and how many of you think this will be solved? Officially B&O told my dealer that sound through ML CANT be delayed. I think they should introduce the ability to change the audiodelay on all inputs individually instead of only overall. That way you can set your HDMI 3 to audiodelay 0 and BD and DVB-HD with delay. How many besides Moxxey and I needs to be able to listen to many rooms simultaneously?

I wrestled with this issue as well.  My particular Bluray set up in the main room only required a small delay setting of 04.  That is within a realistic margin to simply set the delay to 0 and enjoy phase free audio throughout the house.  Most people unfortunately require much higher delay settings which I know can be frustrating when using link rooms.

to be honest this will annoy me in the future rather than right now.

I have Apple TV and i must admit i lvoe it, currently it is connected in my main and only room via HDMI

i will be connecting it with the audio also very soon to play it in link rooms.

then i will have a problem with the delay and get very annoyed as music is the main function of my B&o system.

when will they be able to fix this problem of not being able to share HDMI sound over masterlink this woudl fix this issue also i feel.

Exactly, the ability to link everything is almost B&O´s last remaining plus, and now they have screwed this up aswell.

BUT how can this be fixed, it is not possible(a B&O guy told my dealer) to delay sound over ML. My solution to have separate delay settings on all HDMI inputs would solve everything, or let BS3 downscale everything on HDMI to analoge and distribute it through coaxial. PLEASE B&O introduce this in your new update, it will be a much bigger issue when everyone that does not yet know about it starts complaining. Should not be that big of a deal to implement i think!!
