    Master Link Distribution Box???

I have had the opportunity to see a Master Link Distribution Box on Ebay and I love the fact that you can use pre terminated cables which is exactly what I have and am hoping to do.   What I would like to know is where can I buy one of these fancy little black boxes!!!!

Do I have to go into the used market to get one???  Are they voltage sensetive????

    THANX

There are several different types of Masterlink connector/distribution boxes available from many retailers.

    Below are three examples

The are just junction/distribution boxes and have no seperate power.

Where would one go about getting one such as that on the far right???  It appears that junction box would be able to use pre terminated cables??

These are made/distributed by Bosscom of Denmark and you can view their B&O products HERE

You are correct the right hand ones are for pre-made cables.

Unless you are a retailer you cannot normally purchase directly from Bosscom, but they do provide a facility to tell you where your nearest retailer is located.

    Re: Master Link Distribution Box???

    Hi,

The Bosscomm boxes are good and I've used a few on my network, but you can just as easily buy a terminal block/strip from Radio Spares or Maplin and splice MasterLink very successfully.

I've done this to great success and actually think it gives a better long term connection than the push-fit wire sockets on some connectors.

Just make sure you then put the connection block in a small earth screen box.

    Best

    Re: Master Link Distribution Box???

Thank you Plumber.  We're all here because we love B&O, but we're all looking for low cost alternatives which put money in someone else's pocket?  The ML distribution box shown in Plumber's photo will allow you to use the pre-terminated cables you mentioned in a very simple manner, and if you need more that 6 connections they can be ganged together with no problem, and no need fro external powert.

    We kid because we love.

Other than LifeStyle AV, Bosscom have informed me that their full range of B&O related products may be purchased from www.linksupply.dk

I may be thinking a bit outside the box here but how about trying a Bang & Olufsen dealer, you never know, they may actually be able to get Bang & Olufsen parts???!!!

Absolutely right Gringomatt but i was never able to find a model number to safely order from my dealer thus buying from ebay knowing i was getting exactly what i wanted.
If a dealer can supply these i think they should be on display in store or on their website.

    Re: Master Link Distribution Box???

    Thanks for the info...

I would like to say I would love to buy from my dealer.  The only problme I have is being located in North America, Canada precisely I am over 4 hours from my nearest dealer in my own country and 5 hours from the nearest in the Untied States.  Buying B&O is not an easy thing for me to do. Nor is getting to my nearest dealer.  Something that I have been lucky to manage two times this year.  The dealers or I should say the three that I have been to are incredible and wonderful to deal with.  They would prefer to sell a whole house system something that I would not mind doing as well as individual components I have purchased.  They are just 4 hours at the least away from me.  Once the store in Detroit closed it doors 2 or so years ago it has left me without an avenue to even discuss B&O until I found this forum.

The North American forum is not all that ctive compared to this one so I prefer to post here.  It really does get you a quick answer to almost any question.

THANKS guys for your patience with me!!!
