    BEO4 replacement rubber keypad

I purchased 3 replacement rubber keypads for my BEO4 about 3 weeks ago from the B&O shop in Beaconsfield, Bucks.  the problem is that the GO and DTV have started to rub off, the previous keypads had lasted 4 years before the lettering stared to fade, but these all 3 replacement have gone, its like the lettering transfers are starting to peel.

Should I contact the shop for replacements.

I would the whole reason you replaced them is you want them looking better!

Hi, yes of course, the shop can take up the quality control issue with B&O  -I was watching a TV program recently about the rigorous testing Nokia handsets go through - 1,000,000 key presses, tumble tests, frozen to -20 degrees, heated to +40 degrees etc.  You might have expected if you have got the nerve to sell a £175 remote control then it should be subjected to the three week Sensotronic test - and pass - at the very least.  Must be a faulty batch.

The point of sale is where you direct your complaint.  Don't be fobbed off & let us know how you get on.

Aren't they also offering a free replacement keypad at the moment as a promotion?

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.

Maybe the FREE replacements are the dodgy batch & they thought this would be a good way to get rid of themLaughingLaughingLaughing

I had a new Beo4 in February and the same happened. The GO and the down arrow keys wore off in a couple of weeks. The dealer replaced the keypad and the same happened in a matter of days.

My dealer has sent a picture to B&O and is waiting a reply.

I will let you know the outcome
