Beovision 8902 with old age trouble: who can give me a hand solving it?

    Hi everyone!

I own a beautiful BV8902. Unfortunately, it starts suffering from old age. It has some erratic problems:

    - Jittering of the picture on certain channels (thought I cured this by resoldering power supply board but returned today)

    - Focus is not always good on every part of the screen, mostly corners are vague

    - 'Swooshing away' of the teletext, and bad teletext reception (sometimes it's okay, sometimes it's very bad)

    - Recently the screen just turned off for a second and then came back on. Has only happened once but can't be good!

    - When used for long time (+3 hours) the colours of the scart input channel go all weird and purplish, fading in and out. Some component overheating?

I know a thing or two about electronics but mostly amplifiers and pick ups, TV's are new to me. Who can point me in the right directions to solve some of these problems? My guess is the power supply might need some new capacitors, and there are still bad solder joints somewhere in the tuner and teletext sections (which PCB's are these?)

    Any advice is most welcome!

    Laughing
