    Beogram 1202 friction noise

Hey everyone, I've just bought a Beogram 1202 that looks so good but it seems I have a little problem.

Everything is working fine except when I make it running, a small friction noise can be heard from the tip of the motor. The friction is very repetitive and can be heard ina silence between two music tracks, so I guess it does'nt do that on purpose.

So the friction is located between the wheel that pull the string and the motor : because when I lift it up the plate is running without a sound.

I don't know if it is clear enough...

Well my question is : before bringing my deck to an autorised B&O dealer, may I grease this friction contact ? (I guess not, cause if it slip, the motor won't make thie wheel turn :s ) ?

I tried to put some tape on the tip of the motor to flatten the contact's friction but that was a bad idea : the noise was louder.

I made a record of the this friction noise : http://www.2shared.com/file/5935780/e3375727/BeO_noise.html

    can be played with quicktime.

    An idea anyone ?
