    Some new Beo5 user questions

Today I hope to receive my Beo5 together with a Beovision 8-40.

    Looking forward to that!

My Beo5 will be pre-programmed but I would like to be able to program/adapt the Beo5 myself.

Some questions in relation to this:

    - I have version 2.20 of the configuration software; is this the latest version?

    - In this version the Beovision 8-40 is not available; can this be added somehow?

    - I assume I can download the configuration from the Beo5 also back to the configuration software; will the BV8-40 become available this way?

I expect to have more questions in the future; but I would like to start playing for some time with the configuration software on my computer without uploading it to the Beo5. This to get a better knowledge about the SW to avoid I mess up my Beo5.

    Any advice is appreciated!

Re: Some new Beo5 user questions

When you get your Beo5 from your dealer, also ask him to supply you with your configuration file "configuration.xml" because without it you will not be able to make small changes to the pre-programmed unit. You can UPLOAD a configuration to the Beo5 but you CANNOT download an existing configuration back to the tool.

Version 2.20 is currently the latest version available, but a new version is expected very soon.

I suggest you review the Beo5 Information pages HERE

    Regards Keith....
